Life Purpose as shown by the Primal Triad

Astrology, while immensely complex with its intricate details, can be approached in a simplified way by focussing on several fundamental elements. The Sun, the Moon,  and the Ascendant represent the core structure of one’s life purpose as shown in the natal chart. 

The Primal Triad (Sun, Moon & Ascendant)

 This basic trio of chart significators also known as the ‘primal triad’ were referred to as the “places of life” by ancient astrologers. By approaching the primal triad first in terms of the life purpose the art of chart interpretation is simplified, making it more accessible and meaningful.

 Certainly the boundless depth of astrology is amplified by the intricate details that enrich the structure laid by the primal triad.  However, few Astrologers would deny that the Sun, the Moon and the Ascendant are essential to understanding the fundamental theme of any natal chart.
