The Sun in The Natal Chart of Marie Curie – Celestial Chimes Astrology

The Sun in the Natal Chart of Marie Curie

The Sun

The Sun

The sun represents the ‘life purpose’ in the natal chart and it will try to bring about the affairs of the house it rules (8th house of ‘transformation) through it’s actions in the house it occupies (11th house of ‘friends’). The manner in which the sun will act is shown by the zodiacal sign of the sun (scorpio) and is modified by the position and condition of the ruler of that zodiacal sign (mars)  as well as the other planets that the sun aspects.

As the vehicle for Marie Curie to achieve her life purpose, the sun’s main job was to bring about the affairs of the house it ruled (the 8th house of transformation)

The primary action of the sun will take place in the house it occupies which for Marie Curie was the 11th house of friends. (The 11th house (named centuries ago) represents how we help each other in ‘society’ and trade resources/expertise. Shared social activism, one of the subcategories of the house of friends is what we do to help society/humanity.)

Marie Curie used her newly discovered element; radium to be the gamma ray source on x-ray machines- making x-rays stronger , more accurate and more portable. “Petite Curies” were radiological cars that Marie Curie developed to allow surgeons in the battlefield to x-ray wounded soldiers and thus operate on them more precisely.

Marie Curie endured war, sexual discrimination, xenophobia and public scorn and in the end she gave her life to her work dying from aplastic anemia (believed to have been contracted from her long-term exposure to radiation.)

Yet despite these obstacles she discovered radium and polonium, championed the use of radiation to treat cancer, was the first woman to win a nobel prize , and was the first and only person to win two nobel prizes from two different scientific categories.
