Mercury represents:
- Â the intellect

Function: Intelligence. Transmission of information; talking, teaching, writing. Reception of information; listening, learning, reading, observing.
Dysfunction: Nervousness, rationalization, worry, flightiness, intellectualism, chattering, inconsistency, hyperactivity.
Mercury rules Gemini and Virgo, is exalted in Virgo, is in detriment and in Sagittarius, and is in detriment and  fall in Pisces.
