Classical critical degree points
For the CARDINAL SIGNS (Aries , Cancer, Libra and Capricorn) 0,13 and 26 degrees
For the FIXED SIGNS (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius) 8-9 and 21-22 degrees
For the MUTABLE SIGNS (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces) 4 and 17 degrees
Critical degree points are considered emphasized or strenghthened points. If a natal planet is found in a critical degree, that planet is thought to have greater significance and power in the life of the native.
The Anaretic Degree
29° to 30° of any sign is an Anaretic Degree. The matter influenced by a planet in this degree has reached a critical phase of development and must be dealt with.
