In a ‘nutshell’ this statement describes the idea of a Microcosm or little world (ie human beings) whose composition and structure corresponds to that of the Macrocosm or great world (the Universe).

As is the microcosm, so is the macrocosm. As is the atom, so is the universe. As is the human mind, so is the cosmic mind.
It is in this way that a diagram representing the orientation of the planets and the earth to the sun at the moment of your birth (your NATAL CHART) describes you and your energy ‘circuitry’. In this scenario YOU are the Microcosm that manifests (by living your life) in the earthly sphere in this time/space paradigm (the Macrocosm).
Your natal chart (representing you and therefore the microcosm) represents your energy makeup and the present moment is represented by the ‘transits chart’ (which is the macrocosm) which will show the current position of the solar system.
Of course … these statements on there own are only fragments of a very large puzzle which when put together provide clues to some of the more mysterious questions we face…
But where did the idea of the Microcosm/Macrocosm (aka. As Above, So Below) come from and why should one believe it???
